Troubleshooting

Upload refused

The file did not land, or the run refused it afterwards. The reason is one of five: the format, the size, your storage, the model's own limits, or a template's field rules.

What can be uploaded

KindFormatsLimit
ImagesPNG, JPG, WEBP, and AVIF on an Image Input25 MB; a long edge over 4096 pixels is shrunk in the browser first
VideoMP4, WebM, MOV200 MB
AudioWAV, MP315 MB
DocumentsPDF, TXT, MD, JSON, into File Upload15 MB
Image BulkPictures50 pictures in one node
TelegramPhotos, clips and files sent to your bot20 MB, Telegram's limit for bots

Check these in order

  1. 1

Read the message on the field

Every refusal says why, on the node, the composer or the template field. A format or size refusal names the limit; fix the file and try again.
  2. 2

    Convert the format

HEIC from a phone, TIFF, GIF and PSD are not accepted. Export as PNG or JPG; for video, MP4. A screenshot pasted into an Image Input works as PNG.
  3. 3

    Shrink the file

A 25 MB ceiling fits almost any photo once it is exported at normal quality. For video, trim before uploading, or upload and use Trim; every paid video step bills by second anyway.
  4. 4

    Check your storage

Uploads and generations count against your plan's storage. When it is full, uploads are refused with the amount used and the ceiling: delete files you no longer need, empty the trash, or upgrade. The meter is at the top of My Assets.
  5. 5

    Check the model's own limits

A file can upload fine and still be refused at Run. Each model sets the formats and size it accepts for references, and some cap the total size of all references together, so three large photos can pass one by one and fail as a set. The refusal names the model and the limit.
  6. 6

On a template, read the field

Each upload field says what it takes under its name: the formats, and up to how many files. A missing required field stops the run with a dialog listing exactly what is missing. A plain background works best for the product photo.

An upload that stalls

If the progress stops and the node reports a failed upload, the connection dropped mid-way. Try it again; nothing half-uploaded is kept or charged. A file that finished uploading lives in your storage and survives a reload.
