Node reference

Motion Control

Two inputs, one clip: a character image decides who appears, a motion reference video decides how they move.

Last reviewed October 25, 2026

Motion transfer, not generation from words

Motion Control takes the movement from one clip and gives it to a picture. The character image says who is in the shot; the motion reference video says what they do. There is no prompt, no ratio and no duration to set, because the output follows the reference: its length comes from the usable motion in the video.

It is a dedicated node rather than a mode of Video Generate because it runs on its own engine family, with its own two inputs and its own price.

Animate a character

  1. 1

    Add Motion Control

Find it in the Generative group and add it to the canvas.
  2. 2

    Give it the character

Upload a picture into Character or wire an Image Input, an Image Preview or a Model Generator result.
  3. 3

    Give it the motion

Upload a clip into Motion video or wire a Video Input. The person in it provides the movement; their look is not used.
  4. 4

    Choose the orientation

Follow video keeps the video's framing, up to 30 seconds. Follow image keeps the picture's framing, up to 10 seconds.
  5. 5

    Set resolution and audio

720p or 1080p, and whether the reference clip's sound is kept.
  6. 6

    Press Run

The button quotes the price from the motion length. The clip lands in a Video Preview.

Expected result

Your character performing the reference's movement, at the length the motion allows, with the reference's sound if you kept it.

The only dials

Orientation
Follow video: the clip's framing and up to 30 seconds of motion. Follow image: the picture's framing and up to 10 seconds.
Resolution
720p or 1080p.
Keep audio
Carries the reference clip's sound into the result, or mutes it.

Priced by the seconds you get

The charge is by output second, so a longer reference costs more. The quote on the Run button is the rate times the motion length, capped by the orientation. Trim the reference first to pay only for the movement you want.

With Batch Run: one motion, many characters

Wire a Batch Run straight into Motion Control and every picture in the set becomes the character in turn, each animated with the same reference motion. Fifty product shots can walk, turn or wave the same way in one run.
